We can do some clear aligners for people, which makes them a little more indiscreet than doing the traditional brackets and wires. They’re more geared towards more minor movements. If you had a really complicated case, we’d probably still refer you to an orthodontist to do the traditional brackets and wires.
So usually we would do an orthodontic workup where we take some photographs of you and then also do digital models, and send it off to get a treatment set up. And then we would come back and meet with you and show you the before and the predicted after and get how many aligners you would need so we could tell you the treatment time and then cost.
So typically, if you accept treatment, we would go ahead and have them fabricate the aligners and you would wear those for two to three weeks, and then come back and we would give you the next set. And sometimes there’s other steps like interproximal reduction where we have to make a little space between the teeth or put some bonding on the teeth which are called engagers so that the aligners can engage and move the teeth properly.
I would say they feel more confident with their smile if they straighten something that was malpositioned or crooked that they were, you know, not happy with before.
Create the Perfect Smile With ClearCorrect Treatment
The ClearCorrect orthodontic system offers a fantastic alternative to standard metal braces. This treatment has now been on the market for almost two decades. More than half a million patients have chosen it to straighten their teeth.
Rather than metal brackets, bands, and wires, the ClearCorrect technique uses a series of smooth, plastic teeth aligners to gently move your teeth into their correct positions. You just snap the aligners in place over your teeth and go about your day. They’re transparent, so it’s difficult for other people to notice them.
With your ClearCorrect treatment:
- You’ll wear each set of aligners for about two weeks before moving on to the next set, taking you one step closer to your ideal smile.
- We’ll have you come into the office about every six weeks for a progress check.
- You’ll have the flexibility to remove them for eating, brushing, or special occasions. Just pop them back when in you’re done. Be sure to wear your ClearCorrect aligners for at least 20-22 hours a day to keep your treatment time short.
